The Awakened Therapist
S4E9: Therapy Session #5 | Working at the Threshold of Becoming

/

In this episode, I’m sharing another session with the same client we’ve been following this season. He is at a threshold, stepping into a new career as a bodyworker. And as we begin, we start tracking the way he avoids turning toward what’s ahead.

As we stay with that, it becomes clear that the avoidance is organized around the vulnerability of the unknown and a lack of trust in his own intuition and skill. An unfinished situation with his previous career also begins to reveal itself, shaping how he meets this moment.

In the second half of the session, we do a two-chair between avoidance and the seat of power, supporting him to come into contact with the part of himself that can trust what’s emerging in him.

The full demo is available on Patreon, where you can experience the session in its entirety.

Train with Us

If you’re a therapist who resonates with this work and wants to deepen your clinical presence, The Awakened Therapist Level 1 Training offers an in-depth, integrative foundation in transpersonal Gestalt therapy.

This six-month training weaves together somatic intelligence, attachment repair, nervous system regulation, and subtle energy attunement. You’ll learn how to track what is organizing the session, work experientially through Gestalt interventions, and support change that emerges through awareness rather than force.

The program is NBCC-approved for 12 continuing education hours and is designed for graduate-level clinicians who are actively working with clients.
